Farhad Humayun Abdullah Qureshi Maria Unera & Sanya Shahzad Rocks with Levi’s Live
The much awaited Levi’s Live kicked of with its first musical night in Lahore on 24th of Spetember.
Lack of availability of substantial musical platforms has been the talk amongst the Pakistani music lovers.
Since the announcement of Levi’s Live, fans, celebrities, critics and socialmedia influencers everywhere have acknowledging Farhad Humayun for taking the initiative.
The purpose ofcourse for performing for Levi’s Live was to prove that there is no grouping amongst artists when it comes to their passion for music. Artists from no matter what platform, always stand united when it comes to contributing towards the betterment and growth of the Pakistani music industry.
The opening night was attended by musicians, music enthusiasts, students from various institutions and an eclectic mix of personalities who enjoyed the live session.
The notable musicians spotted included, Noori (Ali Noor and Ali Hamza), Xulfi (CALL) and Hassan Khalid (Bassist of the band EP and he is currently managing Fawad Khan).
Zulfiqar Jabbar Khan aka Xulfi of CALL and mentor/music producer Nescafe Basement congratulated Farahd Humayun and called Levi’s Live a great initiative.
To which Farahad Humyaun replied by thanking Xulfi for all the support and inviting him to come over and play at Levi’s Live.
Whether Xulfi joins Farhad Humayun for Levi’s live, is still what we need to see, but if he does, it sure is going to be a treat for all the fans out there.
Maria Fatima, Sanya Shehzad and Abdullah Qureshi were in Lahore all the way from Islamabad to support and perform with Farhad Humayun and Levi’s Live for the first session.
On the opening night of Levi’s® Live, rock musician Farhad Humayun of Riot Studios said “Levi’s® Live is a platform to feature new artists with supreme talent, who are ready to take the leap. We’ve seen some awesome performances tonight. These artists have such a bright future and I’m so glad they have a platform to showcase their talent. We hope to take this to other cities in future but right now we are cutting our teeth in Lahore. This is the most fun I’ve had playing and watching a gig in a long time”
On his performance Abdullah Qureshi said “Levi’s® Live was a one of a kind event, me and the band had not experienced something like this in a very long time. The sound was amazing and whole night was managed perfectly. This is just the start to a new beginning. I’d like to congratulate the team on the success of the first show and I hope it keeps growing with every performance”
Maria Unera who had mesmerized the audience her powerful vocals added “Levi’s Live was definitely a memorable experience for me, last night I got to perform and share my story in front of an amazing and supportive audience. Getting the chance to meet some extraordinary musicians and talking about music in general was definitely fun. I want to thank Levi’s® and Farhad Humayun specifically for giving me such a wonderful opportunity.. This is a great place for upcoming musicians like me to come and perform our music and further inspire people. I’m so glad that this will continue for the entire year. I want to wish the Levi’s® team and Farhad great luck and best wishes for next Levi’s® Live shows and hope to come back again.”
Sanya Shahzad who performed with Maria Unera, said “I think it’s a great Initiative by Levi’s® and Farhad Humayun, it gives musicians a chance at having a voice and allowing us to present ourselves and our original music to the public. It was a very well organized and fun event where I got to meet some very talented and inspirational artists. Great crowd, exciting performances – It felt like home “
The sound, stage setup, lights and the atmosphere mesmerized the audience who were seen singing to the tunes of the music. The studio space was been specially redesigned for the Levi’s® Live featuring denim walls of the iconic blue shade of the brand.
The videos and audios of the performances of the opening night of Levi’s® Live will be officially released in October. The next Levi’s® Live session is scheduled in November and will feature new and upcoming artists.
