#HBLPSL Peshawar team owner, Javed Afridi, has announced to take the #APSMartyrs families to UAE for the upcoming PSL series. Afridi has been an APS student for 7 years in his youth therefore he not only dedicated his team to the APS students but also inaugurated the team name ‘Peshawar Zalmi’ and logo in a ceremony with APS students as guests.
That’s not all; Javed Afridi has not only dedicated his team to APS victims but is also sponsoring their families to see the matches in UAE: “Whatever Peshawar team win will go towards these students” he further adds in.
Speaking Exclusively to PMR Javed Afridi said: Last year on December 16th early morning, I made a random call to Sir Javed Khattak (Sports Head) at APS, unaware of all APS incident, all I could hear was hue & cry, bullets & bombs, then grievingly he said “Beta terrorists have attacked APS, we are in the auditorium. Please call someone for rescue”
Since not even media was aware of the incident at that time, primarily I informed the ISPR HQ.The terrible tragedy shook me to the core as I myself studied at this prestigious school for seven years. I was overwhelmed with grief on the massacre in this historic institute which is a beacon of hope for so many children and their families. With Peshawar Zalmi I vow to make a #PZFoundation, to do my utmost to help them. Certainly their loss is irreparable but we should all make collective efforts to help these families in all possible ways.
I salute to the Brave Mothers of this soil.
Many are still gripped by a sense of paralysis when they enter the Army Public School in the northwestern city. Pakistan school attack survivors are still haunted one year on …More than 150 lives were lost in the Peshawar school massacre of December 16, 2014, the deadliest extremist attack in Pakistan’s history. One year on, those who survived now study in the same rooms where they huddled in terror as their classmates fell around them.
It may be noted apart from handing of medals or naming public library after the APS Martyers and lightning nothing much has been actually done any as of yet. This initiative taken by Javed Afridi is well applauded by Team PMR and everyone else who has heard this pleasent news.
Wishing Tem Peshwer all the very best. May the families of the APS Martyers stay stong and blessed with courage to live through everyday of their lives knowing how their little angels will forever live in our hearts for generations to come and till eternity!
