Biography

Introducing Ali Ehtisham, a versatile vocalist, set to release his debut single, ‘Kooka’.

Having picked up singing during his early teens, Ali Ehtisham’s natural vocal talent quickly shone through at school, where he would regularly perform at local events. With his potential clear, Ali was urged by his family to take his music further and began learning the piano, understanding keys and music at a deeper level.

Best describing his style as a fusion between Bollywood & Punjabi music, Ali Ehtisham went under the tutelage of Ustaad Shaukat Manzoor in Pakistan, to gain further vocal training. Citing his influences as legendary classic figures such as Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, Adnan Sami Khan, Mohammad Rafi, Kishor Kumar & Gurdas Mann, all of whom who have shaped Ali Ehtisham’s own musical style.

Ali Ehtisham hooked up with producer JKD to work on his debut single ‘Kooka’, a suave debut single, featuring veteran rapper Cheshire Cat. The single was written and composed by Ustad Shaukat Manzoor and is backed up by a high quality video shot by Nasir Siddique from Karachi, Pakistan. Best described as a single that fuses elements from east to west, ‘Kooka’ is Ali Ehtisham’s debut single and first foray into music.

‘Kooka’ by Ali Ehtisham is set to release via iTunes on April 7th. Watch out for the full video hitting Brit Asia from April 2nd.
