Sanjay Leela Bhansali to cast Fawad Khan and Parineeti Chopra in Gustakhiyan
Fawad Khan and Parineeti Chopra would reportedly share screen space for the first time in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film. It is said to be a biopic on Sahir Ludhianvi and Amrita Pritam. Earlier, Irrfan Khan and Priyanka Chopra’s names were doing the rounds for the roles.
A few days ago, it was reported that Bhumi Pednekar was approached for the female lead, but now Parineeti’s name seems to have found takers. “Bhumi is new, talented and not over-exposed. She’s busy with ‘Manmarziyan’ as of now, but she has met officials from Bhansali’s team.
Apart from Bhumi and Priyanka, Deepika Padukone’s and Kareena Kapoor Khan’s names were also doing the rounds. “Gustakhiyan” is the third film of Bhansali that Kareena has reportedly rejected after “Bajirao Mastani” and “Goliyon Ki Rasleela – Ram Leela.”
Parineeti is currently busy with Yash Raj Films’ “Meri Pyaari Bindu” opposite Ayushmann Khurrana.
Fawad will next be seen in Karan Johar’s “Ae Dil Hai Mushkil.”
Meanwhile, fans are eagerly waiting for the lead actors to be finalised for “Gustakhiyan.” Though Fawad and Parineeti might be roped in, people have to wait for the official announcement.
