Talking about the sexual harassment allegations levelled against him by Meesha Shafi about a year ago, Ali Zafar broke down into tears in a talkshow at a private news channel a few hours ago. Ali Zafar was heard saying that in order to end this fiasco if Meesha will take one step forward he will take 10 steps forward.
The matter between both celebrities was under shadows for sometime but now after the Lux Style Awards controversy, it seems that both are not going to end this any time soon. As stated by Ali Zafar in a reaction to the campaign started against him by Meesha’s lawyer Nighat Dad, Ali Zafar appeared before the court and spoke to the media as well.
Speaking on a TV programme the singer lost control over his emotions: “I have stayed silent for a year, whenever an allegation like this is placed on any man or woman, it completely destroys them.”
Answering why Meesha Shafi would falsely accuse him just for fame Ali said: “I don’t know why she is doing this, you should ask her. She should come to the court and reveal what her intention was.”
“She’s been performing with me on the stage, if she was harassed, why did she message me after that particular jam session ‘Had a great time jamming and performing. Grateful for the kind word Ali has to say on stage.’ Would a woman who had just been harassed say that to her harasser?”
Ali said that he has been on the receiving end for a long time and has been living through that trauma. Furthermore the Teefa in trouble actor urged Meesha shafi to end this fiasco which has been running from a year or appear before court if she is right. Ali further added thags he doesn’t want the defamation money and if he will get that money he will use that on the better of the women facing issues in the society.

It might be important here to add that Meesha Shafi has not appeared before court so far and she has from time to time been requested to follow the court procedure in proper way.
Whether it’s Ali who is right or Meesha, we can not watch these stars in tears for sure. And these type of harassment cases need better consideration in our society.
May the justice prevail.
