Renowned high street fashion brand Almirah showcased its latest groomswear collection, titled ‘The Emperor’s Wardrobe,’ at the Telenor Bridal Couture Week Fall/Winter 2015 on December 12, 2015.

The Emperor’s Wardrobe featured a contemporary take on traditionally Mughal costumes known for their decadent details and sophisticated silhouettes. The collection entailed kurtas, vests, sherwanis, churidars, jodpuri pants, turbans and khussas embellished with meticulous hand embroidery in resham thread, intricate zardozi, and glittering crystals all on a vibrant color palette, signifying festive celebrations of the regalia.

Almirah, which loosely translates to ‘walk-in closet,’ came into existence in 2012 with the aim to providing luxury, quality and perfection through designs that respect societal traditions. Within a short period of time, Almirah has struck a chord with fashion consumers through its tasteful take on trends and its contemporary interpretation of eastern design heritage. Coupled with elegance in design and the use of high quality fabrics, shopping at Almirah is a narrative experience.

Speaking about the new collection to be showcased at BCW FW2015, MD Sohail Khan commented: “The Emperor’s Wardrobe is true to our ethos and we feel that BCW is the right platform to reach out to our consumers. Through our collection this time we have attempted to reinvigorate traditional silhouettes like jodhpurs and churidars and bring them back into mainstream. You’ll also see a much more tasteful take on the use of embellishments.”

Celebrity cricketer Wahab Riaz walked the ramp as a showstopper for Almirah wearing their sherwani.
