Pakistan’s Ajoka theater presents ‘Humsaya Theater for Peace Festival’ in India
A 40 part Ajoka Theater group of performers and specialized team crossed the Wagha Border on Saturday 12 September, 2015 to take an interest in the first-ever celebration of Pakistani theater in India. “Humsaya Theater for Peace Festival” which opens on Monday(yesterday) at Delhi’s most prestigious theater venue, will highlight four of Ajoka Theater’s historic point plays including “Bulha”, “Dara”, “Kaun hai Yeh Gustakh” and “Lo Phr Basant Aee”.
The celebration is being held by Ajoka in a joint effort with a Delhi-based peace association Routes 2 Roots. In perspective of the present pressures between the two legislatures and the on-going talks between fringe security boss, the celebration has effectively produced colossal media enthusiasm for India. Every real daily paper and news offices including Times of India, Indian Express, Hindustan Times, Statesman, Deccan Herald, Hindu, Naubharat Times , Asian Age and Mail Today have ran the story with meetings of Ajoka’s Shahid Nadeem and Madeeha Gauhar. The four-day celebration will be trailed by a course on Theater for Peace being held at Delhi’s Jawaharlal Nehru University. The speakers at the course incorporate Pran Nevile, Usha Ganguli, Bansi Kaul and Kewal Dhaliwal from India and Asghar Nadeem Syed, Madeeha Gauhar and Shahid Nadeem from Pakistan.
Ajoka’s Executive Director Shahid Nadeem said ” we trust that the fringe boss talks in Delhi are fruitful yet regardless of that, we are crossing the outskirt with the message of peace and goodwill from the general population of Pakistan and judging from the media and open intrigue officially created, we are certain our celebration will be an offered achievement and support for the peace process”.
