Before diving into the world of rap battles, we have to issue a disclaimer. If the pen is mightier than the sword, then no competition is deadlier. “Battle rapping,” an electrifying combination of music and sport, was first introduced to mainstream film-goers through Eminem’s 8 Mile, but has exploded into a worldwide phenomenon in the past few years. A freestyle battle is a contest in which two or more rappers compete or battle each other using improvised lyrics. Each competitor’s goal is to ‘diss’ their opponent through clever lyrics. As hip-hop evolved in the early 1980s MCs gained their fame through live battles with other MCs. Freestyle battles can take place anywhere: street corners, on stage at a concert,in school or even online.
Xpolymer Dar from Rap Engineers presents ‘They-See Battle League’. It’s the first ever desi rap battle event in Pakistan. Rappers from all over Pakistan are participating and attending the event. Alot of well know celebrities are also coming. We will welcome if you guys wants to participate.This is going to be HUGE!
