The much anticipated ‘Exclusive’ preview of Nescafe Basement’s upcoming Season ‘3’ finally happened last night. Zulfiqar Jabbar Khan aka ‘Xulfi’ showed off his little maestro’s that he so very carefully hand picked, trained, groomed and polished till they stood out so wonderfully well in the crowd.
Xulfi via Nescafe Basement gave us wonderful originals to enjoy like Awari, Uth Jawana, Ajeeb Se in Season 1. All of these were composed by Adnan Dhool and Rabi Ahmed of Soch. Season 2 was no different; This season in-fact gave new renditions of yesteryear classic Mr Fraudiye, and further went on with international songs, including Guns N’ Roses’ Sweet Child O’ Mine, Calvin Harris’ Sweet Nothing and Adam Lambert’s What Do You Want From Me.
Judging the rapidly growing interest in Nescafe Basement starting from season 1 in 2012 and season 2 in 2013; Pakistani music followers and lovers craved to hear something on Nescafe Basement’s Season 3.
And finally the launch/exclusive screening came. Many in the media expected the event would pacify the hunger people who starved to see what the brand new season beholds, the expectations of many actually went down the drain..
As people watched the young little maestro’s nurtured by Xulfi all gathered on the platform, and upon watching, hearing them sing, everyone went gaga over them and yearned for even more of Xulfi’s Nescafe Basement’s Season 3.
Nescafe Basement is an idea entirely conceived and bred by Xulfi himself.
The 1st episode of Nescafe Basement 3 is expected to go on air on the 29th of November; And from the gut feelings that I have, this season of Nescafe Basement too is going to beat the hell out of every other music programme that was or will be on air again.
