The old system is changing gradually! The great transformation in every area of the
department gave a grand boom to media and Pakistani dramas as well. After the mid
90’s Pakistani dramas didn’t give viewers a better thing to watch, hence the quality of
production went from pretty high level to very low.
The comeback of Pakistani dramas started after the famous dramas like dil diya dehleez ,
jhumka jaan , murat , vane , mehndo , meri adhoori mohabbat , wajood e laraib , makaan
are one of the most popular dramas of 2008 and onwards, the story of each drama is mixed
with love , revenge , hatred , adventure and a unique feature of each drama which makes
it totally different from others. The change in the story line, photography, direction added
just a little more flavor to the dramas and made it more interesting for the viewers.
The direction of dramas like malal , doraha and daam are few super hits of all time. After
these dramas one of the master piece of Sarmad Khoosat by the name of “Humsafar” was
famous not just in Pakistan but all around the world. The drama meri zaat zara e beynishan
a great direction by umera ahmed. After some of the famous series of GEO tv “libas” gave a
new turn to the dramas, a new episode every week with each episode weaving together the
compelling personal stories of ordinary people, The production of hum tv by the name of
“susral kay rang anokhay” is also a mixture of comedy seri0es and at times very serious as
well based on the life common people.
These dramas were basically based on some famous novels, so mostly the viewers prefer
reading the novel and then enjoying the drama, these dramas are not the same, different
story line with a perfect ending.
The package of comedy dramas which our industry is providing to the viewers is also
amazing. Talking about the comedy dramas the famous akbari asghari has a very different
yet comedy story line with a humor in Punjabi, Pakistani comedy dramas has always been
entertaining including the famous series of azhar ki aeygi barat , dolly ki aeygi baraat ,
takaay ki aey gi baraat , these serioes have always been interesting for the comedy lovers.
