Pakistan has beaten India in the final match of Asia Cup Kabaddi by 37-31 on Monday in Lahore.
The two neighbors and sports arch-rival, Pakistan and India, faced each other Monday night in which Pakistani players showed outstanding performance in the face of Indian players and beat India by 37-31 in Lahore.
In the first semi-final at the Punjab Sports Stadium on Sunday, Pakistan thrashed Sri Lanka 46-26 while India defeated a stronger Iran 53-35 in the other semi-final.
Pakistani team s captain Musharraf Javed claimed to dominate Indian team in the final to lift the trophy.
“No doubt Indian side is very strong but we have also worked hard and we are mentally and physically prepared for this important contest,” said Javed, while talking to media.
Six teams participated in the tournament and four top teams, Pakistan, India, Sri Lanka and Iran, qualified for the semifinals.
The losers of the semifinals, Sri Lanka and Iran, will play for the third position on Monday evening before the Pakistan-India final game.
In another match on Sunday night, Afghanistan team won its match against Nepal by a score of 53-32 and finished fifth.
Organizers have allocated a cash prize of Rs1.5 million (15,790 U.S. dollars) for the winner while the runners-up of the final and third position holders will be awarded with the cash prizes amounting to 10,526 dollars and 5,263 dollars respectively.
