Lawyer says Sami may not return to India and bringing him back will be difficult.
An Indian court has barred Pakistani singer Adnan Sami’s from leaving the country to hold shows in Dubai, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa.
Cases have been registered against Sami on the charge of buying a flat in Mumbai in violation of the Foreign Exchange Management Act and manhandling his wife, Saba Galadari.
The public prosecutor told the court that Sami may not return to India and bringing him back would be quite difficult considering he was a Pakistani citizen.
Listening to the arguments, the court rejects Sami’s application to travel abroad.
