Dabangg 2 has collected approximately Rs 19.5 – 20 crore on it’s first day at the domestic box office. The film opened to an extraordinary response for the morning shows, but with Friday being a working day, afternoon and evening shows had lower occupancy.
For a non-holiday opening day, these are outstanding figures. Way ahead of the previous best first day figures of Rowdy Rathore and Don 2.
Dabangg 2 is likely to peak on Saturday night and put up record-breaking numbers on Sunday. The film will also benefit from the national holiday for Christmas on Tuesday.
We expect the first 3 day weekend to be around 67 crore nett. If the film sustains well at the box office on Monday, it’s likely to cross the 100 crore mark on Tuesday.
