I Am Proud To Be A Muslim: US Supermodel Bella Hadid
US supermodel Bella Hadid while publicly discussing her religion for the first time has said that she is proud to be a Muslim.
She and her sister Gigi Hadid joined the ‘No Ban No Wall’ march in downtown New York which was against Trump’s immigration ban on Muslim states.
Talking about it in an interview Porter magazine, Bella said: “My dad was a refugee when he first came to America, so it’s actually very close to home for my sister and brother and me.”
“He was always religious, and he always prayed with us. I am proud to be a Muslim,” Bella told.
The siblings were holding placard that read “We are all humans.”
During her talk with Elle, Bella says, “We shouldn’t treat people as if they don’t deserve kindness just because of their ethnicities. It’s just not right. And that message – to be compassionate whenever possible – that’s so important to me.”
