Sarmad Khoosat To Be Awarded With ”Pride of Pakistan”
Sarmad Sultan Khoosat, director of film Manto, will be receiving the Pride of Pakistan award, he said on a social networking site.
Khoosat, who shot to fame through film Manto and drama serial Humsafar, confirmed the news on a social networking site.
The award is announced for prominent figures from different walks of life every year on August 14 and then formally handed to them during a solemn ceremony on March 23.
Upon getting nominated for the prestigious award, the Manto director expressed gratitude to the whole of country.
The announcement was followed by an outpour of felicitations from dozens of showbiz stars.
