Abbas Ali Khan releases “Par Phela” – A tribute to the PAF and dedicated to Mariam Mukhtar Shaheed

(Pakistan – 31st March 2016) Abbas Ali Khan recently released “Par Phela”  – the song is a tribute to the Pakistan Air Force and dedicated to Mariam Mukhtar Shaheed.  The song which literally means spread your wings is about the passion of flying, the thirst to reach the skies and to conquer the world.  It is about the courage of the unnamed soldiers who give their life for their country, who make a promise to defend Pakistan and keep us together as one nation.

The song is dedicated to Mariam Mukhtar Shaheed, she was Pakistan’s first female fighter pilot to die in the line of duty.  She died after a Pakistan Air Force (PAF) FT-7PG aircraft crashed near Kundian in Mianwali District in the northwest of Punjab, Pakistan on November 24, 2015. She has been awarded with the military award Tamgha-e-Basalat by the Government of Pakistan.

The 23 year achieved all she had she set out to achieve and reached the pinnacle of her dreams in her short yet fulfilling life. She is an inspiration, a soldier, a martyr, a women and most importantly is a symbol of pride for our nation and taught us to never give up on our dreams

The lyrics of the song were penned by Atif Siddique and composed & arranged by Abbas Ali Khan himself. “Per Pehla” was recorded, mixed and mastered at Audiology Studio.ri
