Humaima MALIK (also known as Umaima Abbasi; born 18 November 1984) is a Pakistani television actress and model. She was married to Shamoon Abbasi. They separated in April 2010She has worked in different drama serials and will make her film debut in April 2011 with Bol. The film is directed and produced by Shoaib Mansoor.
“I’ve never watched a cricket match live, and this will be a new experience,” says Humaima Malik, who is enroute to India this week for an IPL match. “Wasim insisted that I accompany him to India. As he’s the coach of the Kolkata Knight Riders, I shall be there at the stadium to support them.”
Well you know, you’re probably like, oh that’s nice of Humaima to support Wasim Akram’s team, because that’s what good girlfriends do in a healthy relationship. What? Yeah. Wasim Akram and Humaima have been dating for a while and we only just found out.
“Wasim and I have known each other for over one-and-half years, and I’ve enjoyed every moment with him. He’s a wonderful human being; very caring and understanding,” Humaima says. “He’s 45 and I’m only 23, and there’s a huge age difference between us, but we never have any issues. Our relationship is more than a relationship. I respect and adore him a lot.”
We’re really very happy for Humaima and Wasim, but are still having a hard time of getting our heads around this one. Not for any reason except for the fact that like Quaid-e-Azam, we can’t imagine Wasim having romance in his life. Never mind the facts.
Luckily for Humaima, with this trip maybe she can cast her career net far and wide as her heart’s desire is to act in Bollywood. “I’ve grown up watching Bollywood and always wanted to act. The scope of acting in Pakistani films is limited,” she says.
