Strings to Perform at Imran Khan’s Post Wedding Party
The Imran Khan-Avantika Malik honeymoon is one crowded affair. Last night, 45 family members of the newlyweds flew to Phuket, Thailand, to surprise the star and his bride.
They included the bride’s mother Vandana Malik, the groom’s mother Nuzhat, Imran’s maternal uncle, filmmaker Mansoor Khan, his wife and kids and a large group of friends.
Says a source, “Imran doesn’t know this. But Avantika’s family have planned several surprises for him on his honeymoon. All of them intend to be around the couple for three days during which they are going to party hard. Tomorrow (Imran’s birthday), Avantika has a very special gift for him. She is flying down the Pakistani rock band Strings all the way from Karachi to Khao Lak (a beautiful island, an hour’s drive from Phuket) to play live for her new husband.”
Imran is a huge fan of the band (Faisal Kapadia and Bilal Maqsood) and he has grown up grooving to their music. Avantika, who has painstakingly planned every detail of this three-day holiday without telling Imran, has some other surprises lined up for him as well, we hear.
