Qayaas Wins Jack Daniel’s Annual Rock Award for the Best Pakistani Band
Jack Daniel’s Annual Rock Awards in association with Rolling Stone presents The Award Winners Tour.
This year the awards have been extended to our neighboring countries Sri Lanka and Pakistan. Bands from both countries were given the opportunity to apply for the best band of the year in their respective countries. The winning band from Pakistan “Qayaas” will be brought down to perform Live at Hard Rock Cafe New Delhi on 16th December in New Delhi along with one of India’s best band “Half Step Down“.
Geographically, EKA is based in dil waalon ki nagri, Dilli,, but having played over 2000 concerts amongst its members, the world seems to be a home for the band. They have performed at various prestigious venues including the Indo – Pak peace concert at the UN General Assembly Hall, New York, the Great Wall of China and the Beale Street Music Festival in Memphis- USA to name a few. Having recorded over 100 songs in various capacities, they have come toghether to form EKA, a band, which is free from all barriers, to make songs, which will make you sing along.
EKA calls its music “Swatantra Rock” – music beyond music, time and boundaries.
